I'm intrigued and delighted with mixed media! I start by laying down a wide variety of papers and fabrics, mix that with layers of paints and marks using charcoal, oil pastels and colored pencil. Then it might be more layers of anything before I begin a process of "painting away" the background, leaving shapes and colors exposed. It's always a surprise to see what is waiting to be revealed.
