In this fast-paced class, we'll explore fun ways to create painted papers. We'll use them along with other materials to design and collage unique compositions in your own board book and on a 5"x5" chunky canvas or wood block.

All supplies included. Extra books and blocks will be available at a nominal cost payable in cash.

Class size is limited for the best individual guidance and instruction in a friendly gathering.

Into The Light
Art Journaling Workshop
In Person
June 18

Art journaling is a powerful way to re-connect with your soul, set your creative spirit free and express yourself. Painting, writing, collage, mark-making and more all collaborate in layers of expression. Learn ways to invite your intuitive flow, discover ways to use your materials, and enjoy your creative process.

In this workshop, we'll harness the power of the sun and air by making sunprints from windfall. We'll trace shadows from natural and man-made elements found just outside and we'll create pages filled with nature’s inspiration.

All supplies are provided but you’re welcome to bring your own if you have them: your art journal, gesso, paints, brushes, ephemera (papers for collage) and medium. Please wear your paint clothes and/or bring an apron.

This will be an all day workshop from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at F1VEart Studio & Gallery in the arts district at Liberty Station.

For lunch, there are restaurants nearby for a quick meal to go or you can bring your own. We have a refrigerator but no microwave. A small class size will give you plenty of space to spread out so you can relax and create with individual guidance and instruction.
