2 Artists 2 Mediums Show is Happening Now at Gallery 21 in San Diego

The 2 Artists 2 Mediums show has officially opened at Gallery 21 in Spanish Village and Denise and I have been there every day to greet visitors and talk about our art!. The show runs from May 6 to May 18 and offers an inspiring blend of paintings and ceramics. We have dedicated close to a year to prepare, create, curate, and promote our art and we’re excited to share it with you.

When you first enter the gallery you’ll sense right away our unique blend of creativity, inspiration, and perspective. Stop by this week to explore our individual styles, and the synergy created by the two of us using two mediums.

Meet the Artists

I love bold, colorful paintings that come from my personal experiences and nature. I like to use vibrant hues and dynamic brush strokes to capture the essence of joy and optimism. I invite you to experience the world through my eyes.

Denise Cerro, on the other hand, creates intricate ceramic pieces that reflect her passion for texture, form and all aspects of mixed media. Her keen eye and excellent sense of design allows her to blend traditional techniques with modern aesthetics, challenging conventional ideas about ceramics.

The combination of our artistic voices enhances the overall atmosphere of the show, creating a visual dialogue between painting and ceramics.

A Labor of Love

The journey to this show has not been without its challenges. Over the last ten months we’ve poured out hearts into our work, spending countless hours in our studios, refining techniques and conceptualizing our pieces.

Curating our show isn’t just about arranging art on the wall; it’s an exercise in storytelling. Each piece is intentionally placed to create a flow that guides you through the gallery. Every painting resonates with a ceramic piece and vice versa, sparking connections and deepening your appreciation for each of our pieces of art.
